Group Therapy

Compassionate, informed support for managing the emotional intensity that comes with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Healing happens faster when you're not alone in it

Some of the most powerful therapy doesn't happen one-on-one. It happens in a room with other people who are working through something similar, guided by a therapist who knows how to hold the space. Hearing someone else name what you've been carrying, or having your own words land for someone else for the first time, can shift things in ways individual work alone often can't.

At Inward Focus, our groups are small, intentional, and built around a shared theme — whether that's trauma recovery, the realities of life as a first responder, grief, or something else entirely. Each group runs for a defined period so you know what you're committing to from the start.

What you'll experience in each session

Group sessions run 90 to 120 minutes and meet weekly over 6 to 8 weeks. Every group is led by an Inward Focus therapist who sets the tone, holds the structure, and makes sure the space stays safe for everyone in it. During your time with us, you'll:

  • Connect with others working through a shared experience or concern.

  • Learn practical skills and strategies grounded in proven therapeutic approaches.

  • Share at your own pace — there's no pressure to speak before you're ready.

  • Build the kind of understanding that only comes from being with people who get it.

Who this service is for

Group therapy is a strong fit for:

  • People who want to work on something specific alongside others facing the same thing.

  • First responders, public safety personnel, and veterans who often find peer-based work especially powerful.

  • Anyone who feels isolated in what they're going through and wants to know they're not the only one.

  • People who've done individual therapy and are ready for a different kind of growth.

A note on showing up

Joining a group can feel intimidating. Most people walk in nervous, unsure of how much to say or whether they'll fit in. That's normal, and it's something we plan for. You set the pace. You decide what to share and when. The work is in being there — the rest unfolds at the speed that's right for you.

Upcoming groups

We run new groups throughout the year, organized around the themes our community needs most. Contact us to find out what's running now or to be added to the list for an upcoming cohort.
